Mornings With Moula

It's cold and rainy again and we are snuggling closer to each oter. In between the rain storms we tend to sun ourselves up by the back fence where it is warmer. But the best is when we snuggle together on the sofa with Mum and Dad. These are the days we love the most. Ciao  for now my friends...  

So the rains finally came all night nd into the morning hours. There were towels all over the floor. It's been a very long time since we had rain I almost forgot about the towels on the floor. The rain made the sky very dark- even in the morning hours. We need the rain so I am not complaining. Dad had to work from home because there was no electricity at work. So we had chewing bones once the rain storms stopped. The sun came out and everything was dry again. The air seems cooler too. The rain washed away a lot of dust and dirt that hung around for quite awhile. Ciao for now my friends...  

Mum says that we will be getting lots of rain finally. It is so hot outside I think the rain will cool things off. The grass is almost brown again and nothing seems to want to grow. Izzy is still very sad that she can't go into the pool. And Dusty listens for the little hotdog next door. Mia decided she wanted to take Mum's croc shoe. We will wait for the welcome rain. Ciao for now my friends...  

You can tell that winter is approaching because the mornings are ever darker. Soon the afternoons will be in darkness too. It does not matter much to us as long as we can enjoy whatever weather comes about. Mum says we are due for rain but it has been such a long time! We need the rain as much as the sun and the darker days just mean we will have spring and summer days in no time at all. Ciao for now my friends....  

No matter how much Izzy begged, Mum and Dad went ahead and closed our pool. It was a sad morning thinking we would have one last swim. It was hot and sunny and still the flowers bloomed. And we played  chase with each other. Izzy was sure we could go into the pool. But when we were told to go inside and come outside again, the pool was covered for the long winter's nap. Izzy was so distraught. Ciao for now my friends....  

It is supposed to be cool outside, not hot like it is right now. But Mum and Dad are clearing and cleaning the deck and the pool and that usually means no more swimming. It is a sad day indeed. We went outside to see the little dock over the fence. Mum was hoovering the pool bottom from the outside. And once we saw Dad move the steps aside to clean underneath, we knew it was true. Another swimming season done. Poor Izzy begged Mum  to say it wasn't so..... Ciao for now my friends...
