Mornings With Moula

When it is raining outside we tend to gather in the kitchen and talk amongst ourselves about what we like and what we want and how we feel. I always start by voicing my  love of walkies, especially now that I am older. Mia usually talked about how many kongs she can score with her soulful glances. Ari usually talks about how much she loves her puppies and their abilities to make lovely pillows. We all talk about napping and chewing bones and the coming of Spring in our circle of puppies.   May your days be  filled with peace my friends...

We could smell it in the air from yesterday, the coming of the rains. Even though it started as icy rain, it quickly changed to rain. We can see the back fence over the mounds of snow now and even though it is very wet, a hint of Spring s in the air. We asked Mother for inside chewing bones and she gave us each a very big chewing stick!  We were quickly tired out form all the chewing and took our rest by the gas fire. It is a good day to just take it easy . And take care of each other. And of course; nap. May your days be filled with peace my friends....

Every once in a while, when life gets to be too hectic or too boring or just, I don't know what. It is ok to be lazy. To stretch out  and nap like there's  no tomorrow. Or sit and stare into the great void. Or press up against each other to share each other's energies. We are really good at being lazy. It is our right.  And I am the Queen. Mia is subdued. And just sitting around is a chore. But we are really good at it. Really good at it. I love my lazy days. May your days be filled with peace my friends...

The drip drip drip of the melting snow and ice glistened in the sunshine and made the mountains of snow lower quite a bit. There was thunder on the roof as the snow slid off and onto the walkways. Mother said it won't be as warm but I am hoping the sun continues to melt the snow. Everyone is happy about that- except Mia.   Mia loves to swim in the snow. But not if the snow goes away.  Raven  pretends that she understands everything that is happening but really, she is just a pup and is quite uncertain of the ways of life. But even though it is a cold sunshine today, it feels almost like Spring. So we need to wait and be patient and nap..... Just a while longer. May your days be filled with peace my friends...

It was snowing again yesterday morning and we waited quite a ong time for it to stop. But when the sun came out, Mia , Izzy and Raven started playing in the fresh new snow. They were running all around and jumping on the mounds of snow when it happened. Mia is the queen of the Mountains of snow. She loves swimming in the snow as well.   Izzy is not far behind her. But oh, Mia... Somehow Mia landed on the top of the Strawberry patch and sunk down into the melting snow. Poor Mia was stuck inside the now revealed fence, from under the three feet of snow. and no one was around to rescue the queen of the mountain snow. She called out for help. Then called out a little louder. Until Father came out to rescue Mia and we were all around her to see if she was ok. The whole ordeal was a little tiring so Mia took a little rest- in the snow of course. I needed something a little more cozy. May your days be filled with peace my friends....

 Mia said it all this morning as there was more snow out all around us. We are so done with the grey skies and no sun and more snow. Even though we make the best of it when it falls. We find joy by asking mother for treats. And asking Mother for chewing bones... And asking Mother when the snow and ice and salt will go away so we can go for walkies again... But for now I suppose, we will just have to nap. May your days be filled with peace my friends...
