THE HERALDING TRUMPETS

Image
The trumpet flowers have finally bloomed. Everything in the garden is late this year. But the summer marches on and on and we are all together again and that is something special.   Mia is taking it easy these days-who can blame her! It was a beautiful day for the pool and we were all surprised by Auntie Lois, who came to join us in the pool! Darlyn stole  Auntie's sandals so she could not leave. It was such a beautiful day for friends and family alike. And the trumpet flowers sang in the cooling summer breezes of the dsy. May your days be filled with peace my friends...

MIA'S HOMECOMING

Image
It was quite a morning for little Darlyn.  She was so excited to go dock  diving like her Aunties did last week. Mother and Father took Darlyn to the big pool and started to train her how to jump off the big dock. After Darlyn's lesson, they drove right to the hospital  to pick up Mia. She was so happy to see us! Mia is still a bit under the weather but getting better.  Her tummy will continue to heal. Darlyn was so happy to see her mummy after two days! Everyone waited as Father took Mia for walks so she would not eat the grass. I am relieved that everyone is home safe and sound. May your days be filled with peace my friends....

OH! MAMA MIA!

Image
Darlyn sat watch at the door to the garage at  every chance she was able. her mama Mia was at the vet and was not coming home just yet. e were all a bit sad and worried about Mia. She has never spent a day or night away before.   Mother made us all go out into the garden in the morning hours while she harvested from the garden. Ari was worried about her little Mia. Mother and Father took us out into the rain to go into the pool. It was a welcome distraction for all of us. It seemed really quiet all around us except for the big raindrops hitting the table and the pool. Uncle Bill unexpectedly came by to see us. It was so good to get fusses from Uncle Bill. Then Auntie Lois came to see us too. She kew we all missed Mia and even gave me a massage. Even I sat to watch the door to the garage. Waiting for Mia to come home May your days be filled with peace my friends...

DON'T EAT THE GRASS

Image
We have a lovely garden outside and besides the fact that Darlyn has re landscaped a good part of all the plants, our grass isfilled with green growing things. Moula never ate grass but Mother used to call me her little pony because I have eaten grass every day of my life here.  Sometimes when you eat too much grass, it comes out again. Usually somewhere in the houase All of last night, in the very dark of night, we listened to that awful sound. Mother and Father got up each time, in search  of the grass that came out again. All night long, one after another, the grass from the outside came out in the inside.   Not sure if we will ever learn- even when Mother says "Don't eat the grass" May your days be filled in peace my friends...

ON THE KITCHEN FLOOR

Image
In the early morning hours I like to snuggle down on one of my many beds throughout the house. But really, we spend so much time together on the kitchen floor. Maybe it's because the kitchen floor is cool on our fur. Or maybe it's because that's where we eat?   Or maybe that's where Mother works on her computer. It could also be that we can watch the rabbits in the garden. Whatever it is, we love the kitchen floor in our house. May your days be filled with peace my friends...

THE QUIET DAY

Image
At last, the heat has broken and the rains came to water Mother's garden. I was a welcome change to the sweltering hot sun and airas we all napped together. Soon the day had passed and dinner time was upon us. We wait patiently for our dinners. Then we are outside again with treats from Father. Sometimes you just need a quiet day to rest your body and soul. May your days be filled with peace my friends...

HOT SPLASHES

Image
It was another early morning of dock diving for Izzy and Raven as the rest of us napped in our cool house. Izzy said they had a very good time diving into the big pool and Raven did well figuring ut about the hydrodash!!! They both said it was far too hot a day and were thankful to be home where Mother and Father took us all into the pool! Auntie Lois came to see us and she went into the pool too!   ven though Izzy and Raven dove all day, it was being able to swim ad swim under water that made them smile ear to ear to ear. Father dried us all  off one by one We were all very happy to be  back together again. It feels good to be together again. May your days be filled with peace my friends....
