THE LAST OF MARCH

Image
Here we are again, the last day of March. It is supposed to be warm and sunny but we are waiting for rain and snow. It seems like the Lion of March will not be tamed. Father is at work now and Uncle Barry came with his friends to take away the nasty tree that hung over the garden fence and to take down the rotting tree that was in our front garden. It  is like having a very new house! As we wait for April to arrive we know we need lots of water to keep us healthy. And we need to keep in touch with those we love so we can gather outside when the sun shines again. And of course, to pass the time away, we need to nap. May your days be filled with peace my friends....

TUESDAY CHILLIES

Image
It is Spring. We have seen it. We have felt it's warmth. But this morning,  it is chilly, like Winter never left. The best we can do is wait a few hours for  the sun to warm us up again.  And as the sun rises in the sky, so will we, wake from our warm naps to greet it's warmth. We  can't hardly wait. May your days be filled with peace my friends....

THE DAY OF RAIN AND INSIDE SUNSHINE

Image
It seemed like a dark and windy dreary day yesterday with all the rain and wind- we knew we would nap the day away. Today is brilliant sunshine but we had our own sunshine late afternoon when Uncle Tommy and Auntie Anne came to visit us. Mother had us all go outside between the rain showers and then everyone but Ari and I went into the bedroom to nap. I knew someone was coming so I waited patiently  the only way I knew how. When Uncle Tommy and Auntie Anne arrived, I found a favourite toy to play with while I listened to  Them talk. And of course, I napped. We al had dinner and Mia stole Father's favourite cheese so we all had to go back into the bedroom. We had our sunshine inside today and for that  we are very grateful.  May your days be filled with peace my friends...

NAP DAY SUNDAY

Image
It was right that Mother and Father worked so hard in the gardens yesterday because when we woke this morning we  were greeted with rain!  I think it will rain all day today so we are really working hard on ur napping skills. Mother will have to clean around us today because we are very busy napping away the rain.  We are certainly not sad because the rain brings us flowers when the sun returns and flowers make us happy. May your days be filled with peace my friends....

NEARLY NORMAL

Image
The boys came by yesterday while we were napping because of the windy rain. We napped all morning and into the afternoon and when we awoke, the sun was peeking through the wind blown clouds and something was different about our back garden for the first time in more than two years.....   At first we could not see what had happened but Mother let us out into the warm sunshine and  we kicked up our heels and investigated every inch of our newly restored back garden! Izzy was smiling ear to ear to ear even though the pool was not yet there. Ari christened the grass with a big poop. Mia dug into the pile of dirt and Raven played "Queen of the Mountain. " I am just thankful to have my wonderful garden back in one piece. I am sure Mother and Father are pleased too. We are thankful that our lives are nearly back to normal....always nearly. There is still more to do but we are pleased with any progress forward. Now it is time to nap. May  your days be filled with peace my friends...

WHILE WE WAIT

Image
The April rains are all around  us even as it is still the end of March. The grass is getting ever greener and the song of the bird greets us in the early dawn. While we wait for the sunshine we dream of warmer days and rolling  in the new green grass or chasing the butterflies in the back garden. While we wait, we nap. And find different ways to wait for Spring. It is exciting to think we will be swimming soon. While we wait.... May your days be filled with peace my friends....

LET US IN!

Image
Sometimes we just want to go beyond where we are and sometimes we just want to be let into where we are not. This happens every day from under the garden gate and whenever Mother is in her music room teaching lessons. We peer over the puppy gate and watch and listen to Mother teach. Silently we ask, "Let us in" WE will never beg or bark or whine. Just  simply let  there be known what we want. Sometimes a wink or nod or nose up or over or under the gate.... Or just a gathering of puppies in the adjacent  "Wee" room. And even  when we just want a hug or fuss or snuggles. We sit and stare as to say "Let us in" May your days be filled with peace my friends....

THERE IS LOVE

Image
Ari is bonded to me. She is happy now that she can lick my face and clean my ears again and I let her because I know it is her way of saying  "I love you"  Raven looks up to Mia especially for guidance but I think she is bonded to Mother more than any one  else.  But Mia and Izzy have a  special bond. They are always fussing each other and touching each other in a way that says, "there is love" We all need some one who loves us no matter what, when we are happy or sad, angry or mad. Some one who can just be near you  to  make you feel-  There  is love. May your days be filled with peace my friends...
