Mornings With Moula

The rain and mist and general gloom keeps coming every morning but we cannot just lie around and nap all day. If we have to, we venture into the mist and gloom and make the best of it. Mother did poop patrol then gave us each a treat. Darlyn asked for "Another PLEASE" but we each just got one treat. And we did our best to keep the hawks away from our chickens too. And no one said you can't play in the mist and rain! And of course, when Father comes home, we can ask for treats all  over  again.

  Whenever I hear someone coming and I know who it is, I get a toy and start sucking  on the toy. I have done this for nearly fourteen years and even though I don't play so much anymore I love to suck on my toys when people come visit.   Auntie  Gwen came by to see me and also  Darlyn. Darlyn was so happy to see Auntie Gwen that she could not stay still! I was even a little jumpy with  excitement! And later on  Darlyn was resting. Until Raven had a bone that Darlyn wanted to chew But then, she was at rest again. May your days be filled with peace my friends...

Darlyn knows that she is part of our pack and Raven knows that Darlyn is right below her in the pecking order but Darlyn just wants to get right in the middle of everything. She kisses my ears every morning and every night to tell me she loves me and respects that I am top  dog.  I am right in the middle of everything too/ Darlyn loves to chew her bones in the middle of the kitchen. It feels  good on her gums as her new teeth come in. I don't mind when Darlyn is calm and quiet. She really does get in the middle of everything. Especially my heart. Mother had us outside early because she said the weather was not predictable. We did not mind at all while Mother did poop patrol and collected all the inside toys that were brought outside- mostly by Izzy.   I am pretty hard on Little Darlyn. I growl at her when I don't want to play and I am weary that she may play too rough with me. But Darlyn just wants to love me and gives me so many gentle kisses and when I am in the mood, I welcome her kisses. And when there were enough kisses  given, Darlyn moved on to the once red ball that her mama Mia loved so much. They played together while Izzy and Raven watched. No matter what the weather may bring, we always have a great morning. May  your days be filled with peace my friends...

With so many new bones and toys, little Darlyn has plenty to keep her chewing and growing and learning how to be a proper dog.  What she most wants is to be loved by all  her Aunties. I still keep her at paws length.Darlyn is learning to respect our space and our wishes.   It's a mostly peaceful morning each day. We are all teaching little Darlyn about respect And about love. And abut peace. She is a sweet soul who is eager to learn. We all strive for peace and quiet moments too. May your days be filled with peace my friends....
