TWO FOR TWO!

Image
Raven,Mother and Father went off into the rain again today and Auntie Denise and Uncle Bob came to play with the rest of us.  Raven said it was even more cold and rainy today but Father was much better in the ring.   Raven took home another First place today and she came home and told us all about some of th strange looking dogs that were not like us.  I told her that they were just like us on the inside. It is wonderful to have everyone inside the house again, safe and sound and waiting for the rain to stop. Even Raven is fed up with the rain. May your days be filled with peace my friends....

THE FIRST OF FIRSTS

Image
In the darkness of the morning while the rain poured down around us, Mother, Father  and little Raven left us and went far away. Raven said it was like traveling forever as she watched the  raindrops dance on the windows of Father's car. But then they arrived. And it felt like winter. It was windy and icy and oh so full of rain but Raven said it did not matter to her. She liked seeing all the different dogs all around her- crammed under each tent. And the mud was orange and sandy too.   And when it was her turn to run through the raindrops, Raven took home a blue ribbon! First prize for her First  real show. We were so glad to see them come home, very cold and wet, but home nonetheless. And then we were all together again and relaxing and playing on this cold cold day of firsts. May your days be filled with peace my friends....

SPARKLES IN THE RAIN

Image
Before the rains started  pouring down, we were able to be outside with Mother and Father, helping them work.  The flowers could sense the coming rain and sparkled and danced in the changing winds.   We were up early too, knowing that Raven's  big day was upon us. Mother says it is good to have Raven shown in the rain because the rain makes her sparkle like the flowers in our gardens. But the rains make most of us sleepy and quiet. But not Raven. She is so excited  to travel again with Mother and Father. No matter what happens, I know  my Raven will sparkle like the stars that fly around the moon! May your days be filled with peace my friends...

THE CALM

Image
There must be a big weekend coming because Mother is sorting all the show stuff and cleaning and making lists and Father is home this morning and not working! We were watching out for squirrels and waiting for breakfast.   There is a calm around us as we wait, for rain, for storms, for shows....A  quiet calm. We will take it. And maybe some bones and treats for the raod. May your days be filled with peace my friends....

WATER WATER EVERYWHERE!

Image
It was a sunny humid morning and the pollen stung our eyes, But it felt like ran was coming. Much needed rain. Mother was teaching and Father was away at work and then we were all in the bedroom. We  heard a big truck come and heard water outside and Izzy got so excited because she knew her pool would soon be ready When we went outside again- sure enough! Our pool was nearly filled with water. Everyone was so excited! And of course, since we put all that water in the pool, it decided to rain- hard! and we had to nap inside and dream of swimming in our pool. And even though we were napping, we were still very happy and excited. May your days be filled with peace my friends....

SOAKING IN

Image
The air was cool and the winds were gentle yesterday afternoon. Mother was able to clean off the patio  and the green haze was gone- for now.We were able to  soak in the sunshine and the flavours of the Spring time breezes. And nap...   The birds were singing and Mother was seeding the pool area in hopes it might rain today. And we napped. I can still feel the pollen inside my eyes but I am sure this too will pass. Izzy just stares at her pool. I know she wishes it would be filled. We all do. Raven is getting excited for her first real shows this weekend. And Mia dreams of puppies. Raven also wants to swim. But for now , we  will soak in the cool sunshine and dream of things yet to be. May  your days be filled with peace my friends...
