A NEW PUPPY FRIEND

Image
Today was another long day for Mother ,Father , Izzy and Mia. They left first thing in the mornng- but not before Mia got to play with her new puppy friend Sophie. Sophie arrived last night and was very timid because Ari would not stop barking all the rules of the house to  her. But when morning came- Mia made friends with Sophie and before we knew it- Sophie was just  part of our pack Izzy said Father did very well in the ring with so many puppies and Mia started to stretch out like all the other puppies  in the ring. When we were all back together again we had fun with little Sophie. Auntie Fran gave Mother one of the ribbons that Izzy won back in June. Izzy's  ribbon wall is getting crowded! The sun is sinking in the sky- casting shadows all around us. We are tired and happy to be together again. May your days be filled with peace my friends.....

FATHER"S BIG DAY OUT

Image
Mia and Izzy saw the bag with the stars and stripes on it and knew they would go away with Mother and Father. Ari and I knew that we would spend the day napping and playing with Auntie  Denise and Uncle Bob. Mia was very relaxed and Izzy said the FATHER took them into the ring! Izzy told me that everybody said he was so professional and that even Mia smiled with pride to be handled by her Father! Izzy kept coaching Father about what to do in the ring but he was absolutely on top of it! They all came back exhausted and happy and we did the only thing we could think of doing- we all napped. May your days be filled with peace my friends...

THE SADNESS IN THE SUN

Image
It's already happening... The sun is sinking lower and lower in the sky. It is getting ready to give us colder weather and I am not happy. I miss my pool. I missed the whole summer. I know Mother is very sad too. The bees are buzzing all around us I know they want to taste all the flowers before they die. We just  sat and watched the morning light until young John came and  we made sure  to help him work. i The sun did finally warm the air and we napped inside to wait for our dinner. We waited for Father who was checking on the chickens... But mostly  we sat and watched the sadness of the fading sun... May your days be filled with peace my friends....

WAKEY WAKEY

Early in the morning after Father leaves for work - we nap quietly for a little while until we think it's time for Mother to wake up. It is still a little dark but we know she wants us to wake her- of course.  We make our presence known ever so slightly... Mother  does not mind I think. Sometimes we pile onto her bed and wake her up by gently jumping up and down..... Once Mother is awake we have treats or chewing bones or at least once a week we get a brown egg or a green egg or a blue egg to eat from the chickens outside. We have  the shell and everything. I think Mia has made special friends with Sami the old chicken. Mia pays no attention to the other chickens but she always wants to play with Sami. It was still cool in the morning sun but I could feel the heat rising as the morning turned to noon.  The rains came in the afternoon after Mother picked veggies and pulled the plants in the back garden.  She picked lots of veggies! We napped in
