POURING DOWN DOWN DOWN DAY

Image
Sigh- The rains came back again today. and it was very cold and windy and all we did all day was lie around- and sit around and scratch ourselves and wait for dinner.....sigh...... I tried to sleep with my head to the side- then on the other side and then in the middle. Izzy  curled up by  the door for most of the day.... Nera was still excited to be here she sat around smiling all day until she settled down and napped with us. The cold rain did not stop all day! It poured down down down... Ari I suppose it will get colder now that the summer is nearly done and I suppose we all need a break to rest and just lay around...... May your days be filled with peace my friends........

IZZY BEE

Image
Another hot early morning that we lounged on the patio while Mother watered the plants and tended the  gardens. It was so hot that we did not want to move. Izzy came inside and her eye was all big on the outside. I think a wasp has stung her. Mother gave her some of the yellow chicken and rice in the refrigerator and then they went into the pool for some diving. It must have worked because her eye was back to normal in no time at all.  Izzy says she loves to dive under the water to get the rings. But she does not like to get out of the pool- even when Mother says it is time to get out of the pool. Izzy was still excited from her swim when Nera came over to stay for the weekend....They are like two peas in a pod again.... May your days be filled with peace my friends.....

WET HOT WEDNESDAY

Image
We all waited patiently for the moment when we could go into the pool- at least in the morning..... It was so very hot today that Mother said her students left school early so they could cool off. Ari It was so hot today that Mother gave the chickens an ice block filled with corn! You had to see them licking the ice to get at the corn!!! She would not let us stay outside too long. Just long enough for  the plants to get watered before her lessons started. When Father came home we had a good LONG  swim in the pool. All of us! Izzy was so excited she broke into the pool before Father was ready! I pretended I was shocked- but not really. I suppose we are very lucky puppies to be able to swim in our very own pool when it is so hot outside. May your days be filled with peace my friends...

DOG DAYS

Image
I was never too sure what people meant about the dog days of summer- until just now. I t was hot early this morning when we went outside to pee. It was hotter  a bit later when Mother went out to water the gardens and do poop patrol and had to come inside because it was too hot to breathe. We just hung out on the cool kitchen floor- all day. Izzy I suppose the dog days of summer are the days that are so hot that dogs know it's time to relax and rest and keep cool- while everyone else  works and gets sick in the heat of the day. Izzy May your days be filled with peace my friends......

HOT HOT MONDAY!!!!

Image
The air outside is so hot it hurts to breathe it in! Mother made us stay inside when it got too hot but we were outside in the morning light. It doesn;t seem right that it is so hot- it is the end of summer for sure. Izzy is very attentive to Arabella these days. I don't think she understands what is happening to her. Arabella is very patient with her- until she is not patient any more. The plants outside are burning in the sun. It is sad to see them like that. Mother and Father took us into the pool to cool off- we were very happy to be together and to cool off in the pool. Auntie Gwen surprised us after we ate our dinner! She was talking to Mother and Father but  we knew she came to fuss us! Izzy always tries to kiss her! Ari just shakes her head at Izzy...... I suppose if it was cooler outside we would not be able to swim....so maybe the hot  hot days are not all bad.

WHEN THE DAY IS DONE

Image
I can tell from the way the sun comes up and  when it goes away- that the summer is nearly done. It is Sunday again which means I get a walk with Father and I get a swim with Mother and today was extra special- especially for me!!!! Izzy chilling Ari chilling too   Mother and Father took me back to were the boat lives and this time Auntie Denise and Uncle Bob came with us. I sat in between Auntie and Mother in that back seat and I rested my head on Auntie Denise. What a great night to be on the boat! I was s happy I could not stop smiling and I could not stop talking to everybody! Uncle Bob was in one of the bags and I was asking what was there for me...... But Mostly I tasted the wind with my tongue and with my ears. The sun would shine and then it would not shine. The wind was strong and then it  was calm. I was just happy to sit and listen to everyone talk and sometimes ask to get fussed. Uncle Bob knew just where to scratch me and I
