ON THIS LAST DAY

Image
The rains came again. The fog was so thick we could hardly see to pee and generally- we stayed inside and slept away this last day in May. Mother got a lot of inside stuff done. She said old Reggie is coming tomorrow morning along with some workers. I remember Reggie. Moula and I taught him to fetch and to play and to swim one summer. He was so excited! Izzy has not been the same since Moula went away. She wants to be the boss but  she is worried about being the boss too. I know she misses Moula. Moula toild her what was what and Ari never had to worry or bark unless she wanted to bark. I suppose we all have to reinvent ourselves as time passes. The trick is to keep a part of our old selves as we figure out our new selves in the process. May your days be filled with peace my friends...

WHO'S AT THE DOOR?

Image
Ever since Moula left us- no one bothers to bark. I don't feel like it and Arabella yells at me to bark. We had so many  visitors at the door today. Auntie Anne and Uncle Tommy came for eggs in the kitchen. We listened very closely while they talked in the kitchen. We got lots of fusses and took our toys to them so they could see us play. Then Auntie Robin came to see us in the back garden and we helped Mother gather plants and things for her. We wold not let her walk without fussing us!   We were smiling ear to ear to ear. I suppose some days are better than others when it comes to "who's at the door" today was one of those better days. May your days be filled with peace my friends...

LATE NIGHT GUESTS

Image
Phew was it hot today- nobody wanted to stay outside but the flowers loved the sunshine! Uncle Jerry's Iris Mother came home from work and Uncle Paul and Auntie Peg came to pick up some papers from Auntie Gwen. \We waited and waited and waited for them  to come by. And then  they came! Auntie Peg played and played with us all! It was so fun!!!! So even played with Nappy as he begged for a treat. I suppose an ordinary day can turn into  a special day- even late at night. May your days be filled with peace my friends...

BOATS AND BIKES AND THINGS

Image
Early this morning Mother and Father took their bikes and went away. But it was okay because Auntie Donna cam with Brownie and we played outside! We love when Brownie comes to play! It was a cold and grey day  mostly so it was good day to relax and nap Izzy and Ari sat nose to nose to discuss the news of the day. Mother and Father came home and said they were going on the boat. Moula and I usually go with them for the first ride of the season but Mother said I should stay home this time. I was not happy about that and neither was Ari. Izzy was just a baby the last time she was on the boat so she did not mind. Why can't we go on the boat? Mother said the Yellow I at all the flowers in the ris that Uncle Gerry gave her has finally bloomed. I love looking at all the flowers that are blooming in the gardens. I suppose we can't always expect to do the things that we have done before. Even if it brought us joy. But Mo

BRIGHTEN UP YOUR DAY

Image
It is a cold and rainy  day again but Moula always said we needed the rain to make the flowers grow to make us smile.  The flowers like the rain as much as they like the sun. We like it when Auntie Gwen comes two times in two days! It brightens up our day just like the flowers. Izzy was so excited she bounced around the kitchen and grabbed her little piggy and could not stop trying to kiss Auntie Gwen- even with her piggy in her mouth! Izzy thought the day was bright enough! Ari has Carnaby to brighten up her mornings. Carnaby calls Ari to her cage and Ari waits for Carnaby to feed her a piece of her  banana. Carnaby does not feed me or Izzy! My Day is brighter when I get a good toy to suck on. I love to sit and suck on my toys! I suppose everybody has a way of brightening their day when the sun is not shining. Sometimes it is just being with someone else or smelling the flowers and smiling at all their colours. May y
