Mornings With Moula

In the early morning light we wait for the kitchen door to open so we can go outside. Then we wait for our morning breakfast, somewhat patiently.   Then we ask, and wait for Mother or Father to fill our kongs or play with us. Sometimes we wait at the gate  for our turn  to go for walkies. Or wait patiently for our dinners. We will always wait for a delicious treat. It is a good thing to be so patient, for when you wait, god things should come to you. May your days be filled with peace my friends....

Our days are pretty much the same these days. It used to be that our house was a constant meeting place of friends and family. I loved thoses days when people would just drop by and say hello. Now it is quiet. It has been this way for nearly three years. Very few people come by to say hello or to swim. Or  more importantly, come to fuss us and give us love. I hope those days come back soon.  May your days be filled with peace my friends...

It is summer time and we seek the coolness of the floors in our house. We flatten our bodies against the cool tile or wood floors. It is cooler down there. With the wind above our heads from the fans on the ceiling, we take our needed naps. Mother calls us "Flat out puppies" but we are just like every other puppy privileged to have a home and have coolness available to us in the summer. We know we are lucky puppies every day. It was hot out even in the morning hours as Mother cleaned the house and Father left for work. We waited by the door because Auntie Lois was coming to help in the garden. Mother and Auntie worked in the front garden and then in the back garden and they did not overdo it in the heat. They sat with us in the shade and had water in big glassess.   When we were back inside, in the coolness of the kitchen, we relaxed together. Robyn came out to play while Father cleaned his cage. Mia was flat out. We all wanted fusses from Auntie. We were all very good because we miss having guests come fuss us and swim with us. Even little Darlyn tries to behave. It was a great day of work and play. May your days be filled with peace my friends...  

We love the Summer weekends when Father can give us treats and chewing bones It is hot outside and Mother was watering her garden and working a bit outside but we all knew she wanted to go into the pool.  We waited patiently in the shade and in the lush cool green grass. Ari got her rolls in and then moved onto the new grass. Ad then it was time to go into the pool! Mother and Darlyn and Ari and Mia went in first then everybody went in! I of course watched from the shade. We were all very excited to swim!!! Afterwards, we all relaxed in the grassy shade, very happy to have been in the pool together again. There's noting like a good bed to rest your weary bones. We have beds all over our house to make us comfy. Even so, the sofa is a great place tonap when your legs can take you up there. Mother has garden beds all over the front and back of our house. They are filled with flowers and the garter snakes like to hide in their shade.   There is even a snake who lives in the compost bin inside the vegetable garden. He knows Mother likes to work in the garden and doesn't mind her intrusion. We make  beds out of each other too.  It's a comfort thing. May your days be filled with peace my friends....
