WHY WE WAIT

In the early morning light we wait for the kitchen door to open so we can go outside.

Then we wait for our morning breakfast, somewhat patiently.
 

Then we ask, and wait for Mother or Father to fill our kongs or play with us.


Sometimes we wait at the gate  for our turn  to go for walkies.
Or wait patiently for our dinners.
We will always wait for a delicious treat.


It is a good thing to be so patient, for when you wait, god things should come to you.

The rains are unending these days and the towels on the floor catching leaks from the skylights and catching muddy wet puppy paws are unending too. Father gives us treats and dries us off but there is not much else to do in these dreary days. I try to keep Dusty calm and happy but we are all wet and sad for the weather. MARGOT'S BIRTHDAY SURPRISE

It seemed like any other chilly morning with the sun shining bright but then in came little Margot and her mother -Auntie Julie. It was Margot's first birthday and she wanted to spend it with us. But first she had to run all around the back garden to explore because it was quite some time since her last visit. She had her birthday bandana around her neck and a smile from ear to ear as she greeted each one of us. We  chatted with Auntie too. Inside, in the warmth of the kitchen, we gathered around to see Margot get her gift. We all wanted to see the card as well because it was Mum who wrote in it.
