WAITING ON THE RAINS

Image
Mother spent the day cleaning in the house and clearing outside. The weeds that grow are not good weeds for us and Mother has to clear them. We spent the day waiting on the rain. The clouds came and went went and the sun was shining and the winds were fierce but the rains did not come. The winds whipped the tops of the trees round and round and their dried out leaves fell all around. There was no rain, not even drop as we watched out ur kitchen windows. I am sure the rains will come to us soon.  For now, we wait and watch and hope that the rain will come down from the sky. And make the brown crispy grass come back to life. May your days be filled with peace my friends...

LASTS OF THE EVENING SWIMS

Image
Mother worked in the garden and in the house all day while we rested.  Raven and Izzy are much better now and Mother is relieved. When Mother finished her work outside, she came out to take us into the pool. It was very hot and the sun was sinking beyond the trees and we knew that our days of swimming late in the days are dwindling. Everyone jumped in except for Ari and me. We watched from afar, all the fun that was being had.   Father came home and joined us for a swim before dinner. We had so much fun! And as the sun spread it's last rays of the day, we all dried off for our dinner. Life is always good if you can make it that way. May your days be filled with peace my friends...

THE PATIO MORNING

Image
We spent the morning on the patio while Mother watered the plants. A lot of the plants are dead from no rain and Mother is a bit sad because they  are gone forever. We like to sit on the patio and watch Mother work. Darlyn always finds something to bring Mother. I enjoy surveying all aroundme. I think Ari is the same. Under the table is a nice shady spot too. Even with the dried dead grass, it is a very nice garden. And when Father comes home, we get treats. Izzy always begs forthe pool or for a walk. When the day is done, we rest. May your days be filled with peace my friends....

THE QUIET DAY OF HARVEST

Image
It started out as a quiet morning. Raven was up all night and pooped in every room in the house. When the floors were clean and everyone was tired. We napped. Raven is feeling better every day and Izzy's cheek is healing too. Darlyn seemed exhausted by all of this. I just  knew it was a normal, quiet, crazy day. Auntie Lois came over early to help Mother pick all the veggies that were hanging on the vines in their garden. Too many ripening at once! Mother found a voluntary morning glory from a plant that was long gone. The harvest was a god one and Mother started cooking down tomatoes to have for months later. The rest of the day was quiet and we were thankful to have a rest.   Mother and Fther continued to clean the house We supervised for the day. May your days be filled with peace my friends...
