POURING DOWN DOWN DOWN DAY

Sigh- The rains came back again today. and it was very cold and windy and all we did all day was lie around- and sit around and scratch ourselves and wait for dinner.....sigh......


I tried to sleep with my head to the side- then on the other side and then in the middle.
Izzy  curled up by  the door for most of the day....


Nera was still excited to be here she sat around smiling all day until she settled down and napped with us.




The cold rain did not stop all day! It poured down down down...

I suppose it will get colder now that the summer is nearly done and I suppose we all need a break to rest and just lay around......

The rains are unending these days and the towels on the floor catching leaks from the skylights and catching muddy wet puppy paws are unending too. Father gives us treats and dries us off but there is not much else to do in these dreary days. I try to keep Dusty calm and happy but we are all wet and sad for the weather. MARGOT'S BIRTHDAY SURPRISE

It seemed like any other chilly morning with the sun shining bright but then in came little Margot and her mother -Auntie Julie. It was Margot's first birthday and she wanted to spend it with us. But first she had to run all around the back garden to explore because it was quite some time since her last visit. She had her birthday bandana around her neck and a smile from ear to ear as she greeted each one of us. We  chatted with Auntie too. Inside, in the warmth of the kitchen, we gathered around to see Margot get her gift. We all wanted to see the card as well because it was Mum who wrote in it.
