Early in the morning after Father leaves for work - we nap quietly for a little while until we think it's time for Mother to wake up. It is still a little dark but we know she wants us to wake her- of course.
We make our presence known ever so slightly...
Mother does not mind I think. Sometimes we pile onto her bed and wake her up by gently jumping up and down.....
Once Mother is awake we have treats or chewing bones or at least once a week we get a brown egg or a green egg or a blue egg to eat from the chickens outside. We have the shell and everything.
I think Mia has made special friends with Sami the old chicken. Mia pays no attention to the other chickens but she always wants to play with Sami.
It was still cool in the morning sun but I could feel the heat rising as the morning turned to noon.
The rains came in the afternoon after Mother picked veggies and pulled the plants in the back garden. She picked lots of veggies!
We napped in the afternoon while the rains came down. other never wakes us when we nap.
All in all it was a good day and now we nap the night away and tomorrow we will wake Mother up when Father leaves for work. It is a good life I think.
