RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE

Darlyn knows that she is part of our pack and Raven knows that Darlyn is right below her in the pecking order but Darlyn just wants to get right in the middle of everything. She kisses my ears every morning and every night to tell me she loves me and respects that I am top  dog.

 I am right in the middle of everything too/

Darlyn loves to chew her bones in the middle of the kitchen.

It feels  good on her gums as her new teeth come in.

I don't mind when Darlyn is calm and quiet.
She really does get in the middle of everything.
Especially my heart.

The rains are unending these days and the towels on the floor catching leaks from the skylights and catching muddy wet puppy paws are unending too. Father gives us treats and dries us off but there is not much else to do in these dreary days. I try to keep Dusty calm and happy but we are all wet and sad for the weather. MARGOT'S BIRTHDAY SURPRISE

It seemed like any other chilly morning with the sun shining bright but then in came little Margot and her mother -Auntie Julie. It was Margot's first birthday and she wanted to spend it with us. But first she had to run all around the back garden to explore because it was quite some time since her last visit. She had her birthday bandana around her neck and a smile from ear to ear as she greeted each one of us. We  chatted with Auntie too. Inside, in the warmth of the kitchen, we gathered around to see Margot get her gift. We all wanted to see the card as well because it was Mum who wrote in it.
