END OF SUMMER BLUES

Image
It's not quite the end of summer but we can feel the daylight waning. We need to soak as much warmth and as much sunshine in each day that we can. Dad still takes us into the pool when he can but with the days getting shorter and the air getting cooler we must go into the pool by ourselves. Dusty likes to watch the squirrels work out in the front garden, I am sure they are gathering food stores for the cold months ahead. Of course there is plenty of tender grass to be had in the back garden. We are still very lucky puppies indeed. Ciao for now my friends...

ALL ABOARD!

Oh how we love when people come to visit and the house and garden are filled with laughter and activity! I think because Mum needs help that Auntie Lois is here tending the garden and Raven comes with Auntie Julie and Margot and Dad is working from home. But we get to go into the pool! Dusty stayed inside with Mum but I felt good so even I climbed the steps and swam. I swam way out to get a ball then swam back each time. Auntie Julie did the honors of the drying towels. We loved every second of it. Especially Margot! We even had an extra guest on our marigolds.  Oh how we love visitors..... we used to have a house full every day. Not so much any more but we will take what we can get. Life is good. Ciao for now my friends...

TICK TICK TOCK

Image
You can almost hear the clocks whirring by as each minute of summer fades away. We long for the pool and to be outside listening to the world around us. The colours of the gardens are changing with the light. You can almost feel the change. Yet we are still invited into the cool crisp water every moment possible. It's a jolly good time. Raven is having a Jolly good time too with cousin Margot! I am not sure she wants to come home . Ciao for now my friends...

QUITE A SPLASH!

Image
Even though the days are unusually cold and Mum cannot swim and Dad is home working, they find the time to invite us into the pool. Since Raven is with Margot and Auntie Julie and I am still not quite sure I can still swim with my sore leg, Izzy and Dusty make quite a splash! It seems a  shame to waste even one minute of swim time. But the days must go on and naps must be had. And the gardens must be tended . And appointments kept. And dinners must be given. And rest in between the splashes. Ciao for now my friends....

THE STORMS THAT PASS

Image
Most rainy days finish with sun shining afternoons that dry the raindrops from everything outside.  We are okay waiting until the storms pass because we know the sun will always return...eventually. It's good to be still and wait for the storms to pass. And think of better times. It's also okay to run out and dance and laugh in the rain too... But we are Labs. And labs rather wait- and nap. Ciao for now my friends...
