Mornings With Moula

We had to hang out again because the boys were still working in the kitchen. Mum had us outside with chewing bones. Dusty spent some time in her pen. But we had our run of the house early  before the boys came to work. Of course puppy Dusty spent time alone with mum. Mia loves the feel of the kitchen floor on her tummy. And we wanted to help Mum have her snack in the den. Mia made sure Mum knew she was not happy that none of the snack was shared. But then she forgave  her. All before the work began. Ciao for now my friends...  

Mum had us all outside early in the morning. We had our chewing bones and then  Mum took us one by one and gave us a god brushing. To be honest, we are swimming in fur in the house. Everyone is blowing their coats! The boys were coming to tear out the kitchen counters so we all stayed out in the cool morning sunshine as long as we could. Mia always side eyes Mum when she tells us the plan for the day. But when kongs are mentioned, she gives her full attention. The rest of us jst want more chewing bones. Raven wanted to help Mum in the garden. We all had a great time  all together. Dusty got to spend time with Mum alone. Of course she had to chase the chickens. I suppose we are all having shedding days. The house is shedding old and broken things and we just keep shedding our fur. Ciao for now my friends....  

Moula used to say that when it rains- it pours. I think she got that from her Moma. It certainly did pour down in buckets. But it was nice because we were all together inside for most of the day. Of course, Izzy did ask why she couldn't go in the pool since water is very wet. Dusty practiced getting up on the big bed. She is very proud of that. Izzy resigned herself to that fact that it was an inside day. We love inside days when it is storming outside. And of course, Dusty had a thousand questions for Mum as she brushed her teeth.   And we checked out the new kitchen door to see if the rain had stopped. I an sure the sun will return. It always does- in time. All we need to  do is wait. Ciao for now my friends...

Mum said we should get into the pool before all the rains started. No one complained! Dusty did not miss a beat! She went right back into the pool and swam laps again. Her favourite was wrestling Raven for the purple rings. I would get in and swim a circle and come out again. I think we are going to have so much fun in the pool this season. I only wish Souris was here. It is because of her that we even have a pool. Souris taught me to swim and to dive. Izzy too. We are truly the luckiest puppies to have a pool for ourselves... Whatever Izzy told Dusty yesterday, she took it to heart! Mum went into the pool to wait for Dusty. Dusty climbed the steps and went to the steps where Mum waited to help her find her sea legs. Dusty jumped in and swam like she was born to be a fish! Mum looked at Dad and shrugged and told him to get the rest uf us into the pool while Dusty calmly swam circles in the big pool.   It was our very first day on the oh so much bigger deck! Dusty fit right in! Even Izzy was hesitant at first swim but she was only ten weeks old! Raven showed off by jumping off the dock. Izzy was back to her old tricks of swimming under the water. But Dusty was having a blast! Mum wanted to get a photo of all of us at once. Here's to many more days of summer fun! Ciao for now my friends...
