THERE'S NO SUNSHINE WHEN SHE'S GONE

Image
The house is quiet with Dusty away at her shows. The garden too has a lot less sunshine. But Mum says it is a short tour and Dusty will be back with us in no time at all. For now we relax and wait. Stil the nights grow longer than the days. We wake in darkness and eat in darkness and wait for all our sunshine to return. It makes us want to nap. Ciao for now my friends...

ON HER WAY AGAIN

Image
On Dusty's last full day before she went on the road again, we all decided to play with the new Benebone. This was bought just for Dusty the destroyer but today, we played with her and we played gently. We passed the bone from one to another. Like a game of tag. Dusty was delighted. Then Dusty continued her play all through the night. She took breaks to chat with Mum. And Dad. THen continued to play. Morning came early for all of us. We knew we had to say our good byes. Or  "See you in a few...." Dusty know it was her time to go on the road.  Her bags were packed and ready. And in the frosty morning light, she was off on another adventure. Best of luck my little Stardust, Grand mama is very proud of you. Ciao for now my friends...

GETTING READY

Image
Dusty is getting ready for her first of three more dog show trips. She loves to chat with Carnaby. Mum makes sure we have plenty of outdoor fun. And who am i to complain? Mia loves to sit up by the garden fence where it is a bit warmer. And once the sun sinks lower in the sky, we snuggle together in the kitchen. Waiting for morning to return.... Ciao for now my friends...

MORNING SNOW

Image
We could hardly believe it! as we looked out the kitchen door- there was snow! To be fair, it was not much snow and Mum said it would disappear soon. But it was magical to watch. And by the time Mum gave us chewing bones, it was already melting away. Still. it was snow. It was lovely while it lasted for sure. And I think this is the first of many snows to come this season.... Ciao for now my friends...

EVER DARKER DAYS

Image
This time of years when the days grow ever shorter, we seem ever so tired too. Naps seem to be a necessity in these dark, quiet  days. Izzy likes to snuggle o top of Mum. She doesn't seem to care that she might not be a tiny puppy any more. And Dusty likes to sit and watch the goings on as if she is to tired to care. Much.... We all seem to find a spot or pose that's out of the ordinary. To get us through these ever darker days. Ciao for now my friends...
