THE HOMECOMING SWEATER

A few years ago, Izzy and Mum and Dad went on a road trip to where Mum grew up. There was a lovely shop filled with everything a dog could dream of and Izzy got to pick out a toy and a chewing bone and she tried on some hand made sweaters just for fun.
There was one sweater that had the flag from Dad's country on it and of course- we  ARE English Labradors so Izzy got a sweater. The shop thought she was adorable and put Izzy's photo on their page.
Izzy said it was a lovely shop and wonderful people and she wanted to live there......



She was a hit!


As soon as the sweater was unpacked and put on the brick room table, Mia- who was still a young puppy,
 snatched it up and without anyone knowing, chewed the neck to bits. Mum was heartbroken. Then Mum asked  if anyone could possible fix the sweater. Auntie Grace stepped up. Many years passed with everyone being so busy in their lives  until yesterday when a package arrived.

 
It was Izzy;s sweater- all patched up with a lovely letter from Auntie Grace. Mum called er an "Angel" 

Izzy is so very happy to have her sweater back and everyone keeps admiring it!

We are so lucky to have Angels like Auntie Grace. Truly.

ROCKSTAR DUSTY'S TRIUMPHANT RETURN!

  It started a couple of weeks ago when Mum and Dad took Dusty to meet Auntie Nadine at a rest stop. Dusty never looked back and we all wished  her happiness. Her first show with Auntie was in Maryland- far away from us. She got a special ribbon like I did and Izzy and Raven too!  WE were all very happy about that! But on the second show that weekend- Dusty did better then any of us here! She won her class then won best girl! Then won best of Winners. THEN Won best of Breed! We were all over the moon happy for her!   Even her picture makes her look like a rock star! We were all so excited that we wanted to scream with joy! They all went in the RV again to Delaware for more shows and she won again! And again- Four points in total! Mum and Dad left very early in the morning and drove for a few hours to be able to watch Dusty in the ring and bring her home. When she saw Mum- she got so excited that she jumped all around! RING RING RING!

All is calm, all is quiet until the Ring bell goes off! It used to be the door bell but now we ignore that sound from the television but when the Ring goes off! we are right there to see who is at the door! And  because not many people  come to visit anymore, We know they are packages for us! Mia always asks Mum if  There were any new kongs in the boxes... Or chewing bones perhaps? Raven likes to snuggle Mum by the fire to wait for the next Ring! Izzy just waits by her side. Ciao for now my friends...

SAD SAD DAY

No matter how much Izzy begged, Mum and Dad went ahead and closed our pool. It was a sad morning thinking we would have one last swim. It was hot and sunny and still the flowers bloomed. And we played  chase with each other. Izzy was sure we could go into the pool. But when we were told to go inside and come outside again, the pool was covered for the long winter's nap.
