THE SECOND OF THE LASTS

The house was a little bit subdued  as two of the puppies left us.
Dusty went into the pen when the muffins went outside in the morning, just to comfort them.





Izzy seemed a little sad that the puppies were leaving.

But we all have been through it before.


Mum took Oats inside and he has Souris face for sure! He was bathed and dried and fitted with his collar.

Mum bathed Raisin next.
And then big boy Chip.
Oats was the first to go. His name will be George Washington (of Syosset. Mum started calling him "Georgie"
So Chip and Raisin napped in their pen while the others were still outside.
Then it was Raisin's turn to leave with his new family. His Name is Theo (Of  Windsor Wood)
He was a very good boy and Mum was teary eyed with each puppy that went away.
Chip joined the other muffins for one last lunch before his new Mum and sister came along.
I think he knew it was his turn.
When Dad brought him back inside, he fell asleep.
His Mum was so happy to see him and could not believe how big he got! His new name is Beau- Mr Beaujangles of Riverby.
His sister fell in love again. He is such a sweet soul.
So since we were so good when everybody was here, Mum and Dad took us into the pool.
There were so many parties going on around us and our neighbors cleaning up the trees that fell behind them that it was hard to concentrate on swimming and diving.

Not really! Just joking!
We had a blast!

MEET THE MUFFINS

Now that eyes, ears and toes are open and firmly on the ground, Mum and Dad thought to introduce the muffins to the world. First up is our big yellow boy named OATS. He is a love bug that loves to cuddle. Then a little boy named BRAN-DY   He loves to explore  all the toys in the box. PEAR  is a lovely little girl who really likes her milk! And sister CORN who loves to keep the peace. APPLE  is our bollo girl and she takes after her grand mama Mia. CHIP  is a very inquisitive little boy but very sweet. BLUEBERRY is a sweet little girl with the brightest eyes. MINI  is such a cute boy who loves to nap on his siblings.   And last, but not least we have our big boy RAISIN. THE UNEXPECTED

Most days and nights you can pretty much know what to expect. Especially around dinner times and snuggle times and morning chews. But when it comes to puppies, they dictate your every moment. And Dusty's muffins were no different  We all knew it was nearly time for the muffins to appear but we were not expecting it so soon. Dusty took it in stride, she was calm and collected- much more than Mum and Dad although they knew exactly what they were doing and how to do it.  It was expected of them, until it was not. And off to the doctor's they went. We had chewing bones while we waited for news. It turned out that Dusty needed a bit of help- like I needed. Everyone was so helpful with the little puppies! There are five boys and four girls. Three yellows and six black and we are so excited that they are finally here! Dusty seems to be taking it all in slowly.  Let the adventures begin. SAD SAD DAY

No matter how much Izzy begged, Mum and Dad went ahead and closed our pool. It was a sad morning thinking we would have one last swim. It was hot and sunny and still the flowers bloomed. And we played  chase with each other. Izzy was sure we could go into the pool. But when we were told to go inside and come outside again, the pool was covered for the long winter's nap. Izzy was so distraught. Ciao for now my friends....
