EYES WIDE OPEN & SHUT

Today  MY  puppies are two weeks old. Mummy says they are walking but all I see is a bunch of drunken puppies wibbly wobbling around. And now they have their eyes open but some are still shut.

Yellow boy started looking at me through the corners of his eyes. Then Bollo boy has his eyes wide open.

They are starting to play with  each other. I look in on them through the door to their box but I know Ari would not want me or Souris to go in. Souris reaches in to steal their toys though. I just want them to come out and play.

 They eat and then sleep and then eat and then sleep and of course - they like to scream and howl at 2am and 4am. Carnaby and Robyn have learned to sound like the puppies. It makes Daddy very jumpy.

Bollo Boy ( there are two of them) Have white paws. Mummy says they are very very special to be all black with white on the bottom of their paws......
Both boys have white n all their paws.

Mummy and daddy weigh the puppies every day. As they are weighed they are put into a frog lined bin. I watch over them so that they are ok but boy do they squirm!

Lots and lots of Aunties and Uncles come to see me and for some reason they want  to see the puppies too.

They take the strangest pictures of bums and paws.......when of course they can take a picture of me instead.
But they don't.
They take pictures of Yellow Boy yawning.


And of course they take pictures of them sleeping.

    Oh Moula don't be sad! We're coming a lot to see the puppies now because we know they won't be with Mom and Dad forever. Pretty soon they'll be going to their forever homes, but mom and dad are your forever home and we know we'll be able to visit you there for a long time! We love you!

The rains are unending these days and the towels on the floor catching leaks from the skylights and catching muddy wet puppy paws are unending too. Father gives us treats and dries us off but there is not much else to do in these dreary days. I try to keep Dusty calm and happy but we are all wet and sad for the weather. THE BEANS FIRST VET VISIT

It was early in the morning when Mother and Father loaded the Beans into the crates in the car and headed to the Doctor's place. They were put into a big tub and waited for the Doctor to come into the room. They were very good except for pooping in the tub. First up was Hope. She checked out  and got her microchip and her first shot. Oh and they each got some stinky cheese from a can. Dusty was up next. Onyx was next- she did not mind getting her eyes and ears checked out. Sunnie was next- she really liked the vet tech who was very gentle with all the puppies. Ali was next- none of the puppies cried when they were jabbed. Prince was an absolute sweetheart. Midnight loved the stinky cheese the most. The puppies went right outside in the warm sunshine. Mia was so glad her puppies were home I am secretly glad they are back too. The beans napped for a few hours Everyone kept watch over them. Until it was lunchtime and they ate nearly everything. THE DAY OF DEAFENING QUIET

It all happened so fast. We did not know, I did not know. No one really knew but Souris knew. She knew it was her time to run free and find her Moula.                                                       My name is Arabella Castellabate . I am Souris sister by association. I am named after my Mum's grandfather's town in Italy. I am Mother to eleven puppies including Izzy, Mia and Raven. Mia is actually related to Souris. It is with a broken heart that I take the reins of the blog from Souris. I hope I can honour her with my writing. It was just like any other morning though it was raining still.
