THESE ARE THE DAYS

We had to get outside early because Mother had to go to school. It was cool outside but not frosty at all. Wereally just wanted to stay inside and Nap and play because the sun was not out until much later.

Izzy and Mia spent the time wrestling with each other. I suppose that keeps Mia from menacing the rest of us and the house.



Mia was caught with an inside toy outside- she wasn't destroying it so we did not bother to take it away but  I did remind her that it was Moula's special toy.


Ari just looked on majestically- like Moula used t do.


I was just so happy to be here with all my girls.


Mia sometimes destroys Mother's  plants and chimey things but today-  she too was just enjoying the day.

Moula always said to enjoy the moment you are in. We each had to learn to do that. Mia is learning slowly- we all need to be patient until everyone understands that these are the days of our joy and our love and our lives.

The rains are unending these days and the towels on the floor catching leaks from the skylights and catching muddy wet puppy paws are unending too. Father gives us treats and dries us off but there is not much else to do in these dreary days. I try to keep Dusty calm and happy but we are all wet and sad for the weather. THE BEANS FIRST VET VISIT

It was early in the morning when Mother and Father loaded the Beans into the crates in the car and headed to the Doctor's place. They were put into a big tub and waited for the Doctor to come into the room. They were very good except for pooping in the tub. First up was Hope. She checked out  and got her microchip and her first shot. Oh and they each got some stinky cheese from a can. Dusty was up next. Onyx was next- she did not mind getting her eyes and ears checked out. Sunnie was next- she really liked the vet tech who was very gentle with all the puppies. Ali was next- none of the puppies cried when they were jabbed. Prince was an absolute sweetheart. Midnight loved the stinky cheese the most. The puppies went right outside in the warm sunshine. Mia was so glad her puppies were home I am secretly glad they are back too. The beans napped for a few hours Everyone kept watch over them. Until it was lunchtime and they ate nearly everything. THE DAY OF DEAFENING QUIET

It all happened so fast. We did not know, I did not know. No one really knew but Souris knew. She knew it was her time to run free and find her Moula.                                                       My name is Arabella Castellabate . I am Souris sister by association. I am named after my Mum's grandfather's town in Italy. I am Mother to eleven puppies including Izzy, Mia and Raven. Mia is actually related to Souris. It is with a broken heart that I take the reins of the blog from Souris. I hope I can honour her with my writing. It was just like any other morning though it was raining still.
