WHAT A DAY!


What a day we had!  Mother was outside early in the morning because it was very very hot! We went outside i n the morning sun and then we waited inside for the boys to come and work- but they never did come. Mother was not happy!  But we just wanted to be cool inside- away from the heat and the bugs.



It is nice and cool on the floor of the kitchen with the fan above our heads.
Mother says the rain will take away the heat today. If only we had our pool ready!
Izzy kept talking about her pool.

Mia kept playing with her Kong.
And we all took it easy in the heat. What  a day!

The rains are unending these days and the towels on the floor catching leaks from the skylights and catching muddy wet puppy paws are unending too. Father gives us treats and dries us off but there is not much else to do in these dreary days. I try to keep Dusty calm and happy but we are all wet and sad for the weather. MARGOT'S BIRTHDAY SURPRISE

It seemed like any other chilly morning with the sun shining bright but then in came little Margot and her mother -Auntie Julie. It was Margot's first birthday and she wanted to spend it with us. But first she had to run all around the back garden to explore because it was quite some time since her last visit. She had her birthday bandana around her neck and a smile from ear to ear as she greeted each one of us. We  chatted with Auntie too. Inside, in the warmth of the kitchen, we gathered around to see Margot get her gift. We all wanted to see the card as well because it was Mum who wrote in it. Margot took one of her presents and ran all over the house. Mia inspected the toy after Auntie took the tags away, We all took part in the play.
