OH! WHAT A DAY!!!!

The sun was bright in the sky. The early Fall light was breathtaking! But to us, the light around us was more brilliant as our Auntie Carole came to visit on Mia's third birthday. I had not seen her since Arabella was a tiny puppy.
 
She and Mother traveled in the sunshine and had lunch then came home to snuggle puppies. All of us!




 
The wind played through the chimes in the garden  and we sat in the brilliant light.




When Father returned home from work, we celebrated Mia's birthday with chicken and gifts. Our favourite time for birthdays.



After the chicken, we got our pressies.
Mia got another kong which was already filled with special treats!
And we got new stuffed toys!

Every one was happy.
Auntie Gwen came to snuggle and wish Mia a happy birthday.

We were all so happy and so very tired from such a wonderful day.

The rains are unending these days and the towels on the floor catching leaks from the skylights and catching muddy wet puppy paws are unending too. Father gives us treats and dries us off but there is not much else to do in these dreary days. I try to keep Dusty calm and happy but we are all wet and sad for the weather. Dusty keeps asking Mother when the skies will stop crying. But I don't think  it will stop any time soon.   May your days be filled with peace my friends...

THE BEANS FIRST VET VISIT

It was early in the morning when Mother and Father loaded the Beans into the crates in the car and headed to the Doctor's place. They were put into a big tub and waited for the Doctor to come into the room. They were very good except for pooping in the tub. First up was Hope. She checked out  and got her microchip and her first shot. Oh and they each got some stinky cheese from a can. Dusty was up next. Onyx was next- she did not mind getting her eyes and ears checked out. Sunnie was next- she really liked the vet tech who was very gentle with all the puppies. Ali was next- none of the puppies cried when they were jabbed. Prince was an absolute sweetheart. Midnight loved the stinky cheese the most. The puppies went right outside in the warm sunshine. THE DAY OF DEAFENING QUIET

It all happened so fast. We did not know, I did not know. No one really knew but Souris knew. She knew it was her time to run free and find her Moula.                                                       My name is Arabella Castellabate . I am Souris sister by association. I am named after my Mum's grandfather's town in Italy. I am Mother to eleven puppies including Izzy, Mia and Raven. Mia is actually related to Souris. It is with a broken heart that I take the reins of the blog from Souris. I hope I can honour her with my writing. It was just like any other morning though it was raining still.
