EDUCATING DARLYN

With so much to learn, it will take all of us to show Darlyn how to be in our pack. She is very sweet and patient and so very eager to learn. Mia plays very gently with her daughter and teaches her not to bite hard with her Lazar like teeth.


And Darlyn has mastered the kitchen door maneuver that lets her go outside with Mother.
 

And she has also mastered the play bow.
Darlyn is happy to play by herself too.

Auntie Izzy and Darlyn love to  play gently too.

Darln has mastered the crate as well and does not  mind taking a break.
Mother had us all outside in between the rain  drops- as much as possible before the big storms come again.

I get to lecture Darlyn on the finer points in life. She is a very good student and listens intently.
THere is so much I want to share with her.
Not only my wisdom, but what her Auntie Moula taught me as well.
And of course I taught her the fine art of relaxing together.
Who else could do that?

The rains are unending these days and the towels on the floor catching leaks from the skylights and catching muddy wet puppy paws are unending too. Father gives us treats and dries us off but there is not much else to do in these dreary days. I try to keep Dusty calm and happy but we are all wet and sad for the weather. Dusty keeps asking Mother when the skies will stop crying. But I don't think  it will stop any time soon.   May your days be filled with peace my friends...

THE BEANS FIRST VET VISIT

It was early in the morning when Mother and Father loaded the Beans into the crates in the car and headed to the Doctor's place. They were put into a big tub and waited for the Doctor to come into the room. They were very good except for pooping in the tub. First up was Hope. She checked out  and got her microchip and her first shot. Oh and they each got some stinky cheese from a can. Dusty was up next. Onyx was next- she did not mind getting her eyes and ears checked out. Sunnie was next- she really liked the vet tech who was very gentle with all the puppies. Ali was next- none of the puppies cried when they were jabbed. Prince was an absolute sweetheart. Midnight loved the stinky cheese the most. The puppies went right outside in the warm sunshine. Mia was so glad her puppies were home I am secretly glad they are back too. The beans napped for a few hours Everyone kept watch over them. Until it was lunchtime and they ate nearly everything. THE DAY OF DEAFENING QUIET

It all happened so fast. We did not know, I did not know. No one really knew but Souris knew. She knew it was her time to run free and find her Moula.                                                       My name is Arabella Castellabate . I am Souris sister by association. I am named after my Mum's grandfather's town in Italy. I am Mother to eleven puppies including Izzy, Mia and Raven. Mia is actually related to Souris. It is with a broken heart that I take the reins of the blog from Souris. I hope I can honour her with my writing. It was just like any other morning though it was raining still.
