THE CHICKEN DINNER

Ari knew she was missing the most important part of her birthday celebration. It was far too late to have chicken last night and this is the last year for chicken. Next year we gets steak! The house smelled wonderful as mother cooked the chicken on the cooker.We  are the only people in the house that eat meat so it is very much a  treat.
 
It felt like forever, the wait for Father to return home from work.

But we waited patiently.


Then Father was in the kitchen and we waited patiently again.
Darlyn still did not know what was going on.


Raven watched carefully as Father gave each bowl a healthy portion of the cut up chicken.

The wait seemed like forever.
Darlyn still did not understand, being that she is just a puppy but she checked out the progress as well.

Ari waited knowing she would get the most chicken.
And then we knoew the chicken dinner was upon us.
It was glorious! Stupendous! Deliciousness!
And  it was gone in a flash.
Now we must wait for Izzy's  birthday.

The rains are unending these days and the towels on the floor catching leaks from the skylights and catching muddy wet puppy paws are unending too. Father gives us treats and dries us off but there is not much else to do in these dreary days. I try to keep Dusty calm and happy but we are all wet and sad for the weather. THE BEANS FIRST VET VISIT

It was early in the morning when Mother and Father loaded the Beans into the crates in the car and headed to the Doctor's place. They were put into a big tub and waited for the Doctor to come into the room. They were very good except for pooping in the tub. First up was Hope. She checked out  and got her microchip and her first shot. Oh and they each got some stinky cheese from a can. Dusty was up next. Onyx was next- she did not mind getting her eyes and ears checked out. Sunnie was next- she really liked the vet tech who was very gentle with all the puppies. Ali was next- none of the puppies cried when they were jabbed. Prince was an absolute sweetheart. Midnight loved the stinky cheese the most. The puppies went right outside in the warm sunshine. Mia was so glad her puppies were home I am secretly glad they are back too. The beans napped for a few hours Everyone kept watch over them. Until it was lunchtime and they ate nearly everything. THE DAY OF DEAFENING QUIET

It all happened so fast. We did not know, I did not know. No one really knew but Souris knew. She knew it was her time to run free and find her Moula.                                                       My name is Arabella Castellabate . I am Souris sister by association. I am named after my Mum's grandfather's town in Italy. I am Mother to eleven puppies including Izzy, Mia and Raven. Mia is actually related to Souris.
