THE CELABRATION OF ALL CELEBRATIONS

I awoke in the morning to Mother singing the birthday song to me. She sang it several  times in the early morning and made me smile ear to ear to ear. I wore the birthday bandanna and was surrounded by my entire family.
It was just like any other morning in my fifteen years here but things would change as the day progressed.
Father had me go outside with the wee little ones since they are only nine weeks old.
Vikki really ahas a  fascination with me but who can blame her?
Mother and Father took me in the car after lunchtime to my favourite store where Father sometimes works.
I always love a car ride!

I met a lovely boy and girl  who fussed over me for a long time.
We went exploring with all the toys and chewing bones.

And that lovely boy and girl came to find us with a birthday gift for me!!!!!!
I was not expecting a toy!
I picked out my chewing bone and we waited in the Que.
Father's friend who works there gave me a treat.
I thanked her with a wet kiss.
I took my toy and my treat back into  the car.
I was smiling ear to ear to ear.

I  love my life.
We stopped at another fancy store where I got more treats and more fusses.
I loved  lookingat all the wnderful toys and such in this store.

The nice lady helped us find some lovely chicken treats and Mother said it was just for me!
I was getting tired so we all decided it was time to head home.
The little puppies missed me I think.
Mother gathered all the presents then cooked the steak in a pan.

The steak did not last very long.Mother gave the little ones a thimble size piece each- just to taste.
I tookm my sweet time. I wanted to savour the taste of my birthday meal.

And I loved the stuffed Cow that Father presented me.
And we all had regular chicken chews from Father's work.
Everyone got a little toy.


I was exhausted but oh  so happy!



Then the little ones came out of their crates and took over the playing of the toys...
I am happy that I am here to teach yet another generation of puppies...


They really liked my cow!





I think this was the best birthday I have ever had. Thank you all for the wishes and smiles and fusses and love.

The rains are unending these days and the towels on the floor catching leaks from the skylights and catching muddy wet puppy paws are unending too. Father gives us treats and dries us off but there is not much else to do in these dreary days. I try to keep Dusty calm and happy but we are all wet and sad for the weather. Dusty keeps asking Mother when the skies will stop crying. But I don't think  it will stop any time soon.   May your days be filled with peace my friends...

THE BEANS FIRST VET VISIT

It was early in the morning when Mother and Father loaded the Beans into the crates in the car and headed to the Doctor's place. They were put into a big tub and waited for the Doctor to come into the room. They were very good except for pooping in the tub. First up was Hope. She checked out  and got her microchip and her first shot. Oh and they each got some stinky cheese from a can. Dusty was up next. Onyx was next- she did not mind getting her eyes and ears checked out. Sunnie was next- she really liked the vet tech who was very gentle with all the puppies. Ali was next- none of the puppies cried when they were jabbed. Prince was an absolute sweetheart. Midnight loved the stinky cheese the most. The puppies went right outside in the warm sunshine. Mia was so glad her puppies were home I am secretly glad they are back too. The beans napped for a few hours Everyone kept watch over them. Until it was lunchtime and they ate nearly everything. THE DAY OF DEAFENING QUIET

It all happened so fast. We did not know, I did not know. No one really knew but Souris knew. She knew it was her time to run free and find her Moula.                                                       My name is Arabella Castellabate . I am Souris sister by association. I am named after my Mum's grandfather's town in Italy. I am Mother to eleven puppies including Izzy, Mia and Raven. Mia is actually related to Souris. It is with a broken heart that I take the reins of the blog from Souris. I hope I can honour her with my writing. It was just like any other morning though it was raining still.
