EVERYBODY IN


It was truly a very exciting afternoon for everyone in the house. The anticipation of going into the pool for the very first time was clearly too much. And this time,  everybody was in.,. except for my old bones.
 
Vikki jumped right in after her Auntie Raven and Lilibet stayed on the deck with Mama Mia.
She followed me for a bit until I told her to go for  a swim.

I think at first she wasn't sure, even though the day before she got her sea legs under her.
She watched her favourite Auntie Izzy dive up and over her and head first into the water and so she followed.
There was no stopping them.

Everyone is happy in the water.

And in no time at all, Lilibet was a little fish, just like me.


It was a wonderful afternoon of swimming.
And when enough was enough, they all got out to get towel dried by Father.
Lilibet asked Mother if she could come back into the pool.
But it was nearly supper time and Mother said, "There will be other days."There will be other days for sure.

The rains are unending these days and the towels on the floor catching leaks from the skylights and catching muddy wet puppy paws are unending too. Father gives us treats and dries us off but there is not much else to do in these dreary days. I try to keep Dusty calm and happy but we are all wet and sad for the weather. THE BEANS FIRST VET VISIT

It was early in the morning when Mother and Father loaded the Beans into the crates in the car and headed to the Doctor's place. They were put into a big tub and waited for the Doctor to come into the room. They were very good except for pooping in the tub. First up was Hope. She checked out  and got her microchip and her first shot. Oh and they each got some stinky cheese from a can. Dusty was up next. Onyx was next- she did not mind getting her eyes and ears checked out. Sunnie was next- she really liked the vet tech who was very gentle with all the puppies. Ali was next- none of the puppies cried when they were jabbed. Prince was an absolute sweetheart. Midnight loved the stinky cheese the most. The puppies went right outside in the warm sunshine. Mia was so glad her puppies were home I am secretly glad they are back too. The beans napped for a few hours Everyone kept watch over them. Until it was lunchtime and they ate nearly everything. THE DAY OF DEAFENING QUIET

It all happened so fast. We did not know, I did not know. No one really knew but Souris knew. She knew it was her time to run free and find her Moula.                                                       My name is Arabella Castellabate . I am Souris sister by association. I am named after my Mum's grandfather's town in Italy. I am Mother to eleven puppies including Izzy, Mia and Raven. Mia is actually related to Souris. It is with a broken heart that I take the reins of the blog from Souris. I hope I can honour her with my writing. It was just like any other morning though it was raining still. Mother gave us chewing bones before she went to school. Souris wrote her blog and slept on all the rugs that Mum and Dad put on the floors to help Souris not slip.
