THE DOG DAYS

It is windy outside but the wind is hot. Mother says it is too hot for us to be on the deck of the pool. Of course Mia is not allowed to be out on the deck while she is cooking puppies.
I don't mind keeping  Mia company. She has always been the apple of my eye❤


Mother is letting the puppies roam the house because it is so hot outside.
But the best places to be are on the floor and under the fans.
The puppies have it right- on their backs to cool their bellies.

We are truly in the dog days for sure.

The rains are unending these days and the towels on the floor catching leaks from the skylights and catching muddy wet puppy paws are unending too. Father gives us treats and dries us off but there is not much else to do in these dreary days. I try to keep Dusty calm and happy but we are all wet and sad for the weather. MARGOT'S BIRTHDAY SURPRISE

It seemed like any other chilly morning with the sun shining bright but then in came little Margot and her mother -Auntie Julie. It was Margot's first birthday and she wanted to spend it with us. But first she had to run all around the back garden to explore because it was quite some time since her last visit. She had her birthday bandana around her neck and a smile from ear to ear as she greeted each one of us. We  chatted with Auntie too. Inside, in the warmth of the kitchen, we gathered around to see Margot get her gift. We all wanted to see the card as well because it was Mum who wrote in it.
