A DUSTING FOR DUSTY


It snowed a bit ad Dusty went crazy trying to get away from the flakes. She asked Mother about the snow and Mother said it was just a bit of a dusting- like little Dusty.
The snow did not last long but it was long enough for us to hunker down in the bedroom.
Auntie Lois came to see Mother and have some tea and Dusty was so happy to see her!


Then she hunkered down like the rest of us.

I think it will be a long winter.
I think we  are prepared.

The rains are unending these days and the towels on the floor catching leaks from the skylights and catching muddy wet puppy paws are unending too. Father gives us treats and dries us off but there is not much else to do in these dreary days. I try to keep Dusty calm and happy but we are all wet and sad for the weather. MARGOT'S BIRTHDAY SURPRISE

It seemed like any other chilly morning with the sun shining bright but then in came little Margot and her mother -Auntie Julie. It was Margot's first birthday and she wanted to spend it with us. But first she had to run all around the back garden to explore because it was quite some time since her last visit. She had her birthday bandana around her neck and a smile from ear to ear as she greeted each one of us. We  chatted with Auntie too. Inside, in the warmth of the kitchen, we gathered around to see Margot get her gift. We all wanted to see the card as well because it was Mum who wrote in it.
