Mum and Dad tok Dusty away in the car with Auntie Denise and Uncle Bob. I told her I thought they would take her on the big lake like they took me and the many many times that her Auntie Souris went on the boat. I told Dusty she mustn't jump into the water like I tried to do.
Dusty said at first she did not know what was happening but Uncle Bob was there and her great Aunt Souris used to always talk about her Uncle Bob and Aunt Denise so she calmed down immediately.
She sat next to Mum on the boat and watched the water whiz by her.
Tasting the wind with her tongue and ears.
She asked so many questions to Auntie Denise and everyone on board.
It was such a lovely day.
She was a very good girl too when everyone was eating- Dusty did not make a peep and just watched and waited.
And Dusty said Uncle Bob's beard smelled of wonderful treats.
She was such a good puppy.
Dusty found her very own look out!
And settled in the back of the boat with Auntie.
Auntie told her she was too yung to have a sip from her cup.
So Dusty settled in to keep enjoying the ride.
She even got to meet one of the many herons on the lake.
Dusty could see why her Auntie Souris loved the boat so much.
And all too soon the boat ride was over.
Dusty passed out in her crate while everyone packed the car and put away the boat for the night. It was a very good day indeed.
