THE DAYS BEFORE

Mum is extra watchful of Dusty these days as she has dog shows to attend in the coming days.
I remember fondly of my days in the ring and the trips I took with my original puppy family.
I think Dusty is destined for great things too.
Mia is pleased with herself that she makes such beautiful puppies.
To be honest, they are all mine. Grand mama and mama. I started them all.

The rains are unending these days and the towels on the floor catching leaks from the skylights and catching muddy wet puppy paws are unending too. Father gives us treats and dries us off but there is not much else to do in these dreary days. I try to keep Dusty calm and happy but we are all wet and sad for the weather. Dusty keeps asking Mother when the skies will stop crying. But I don't think  it will stop any time soon.   May your days be filled with peace my friends...

MARGOT'S BIRTHDAY SURPRISE

It seemed like any other chilly morning with the sun shining bright but then in came little Margot and her mother -Auntie Julie. It was Margot's first birthday and she wanted to spend it with us. But first she had to run all around the back garden to explore because it was quite some time since her last visit. She had her birthday bandana around her neck and a smile from ear to ear as she greeted each one of us. We  chatted with Auntie too. Inside, in the warmth of the kitchen, we gathered around to see Margot get her gift. We all wanted to see the card as well because it was Mum who wrote in it. Margot took one of her presents and ran all over the house. Mia inspected the toy after Auntie took the tags away, We all took part in the play.
