Mornings With Moula

Lazy mornings are the best and Mum says this is the last of the warm days for a while so we are taking full advantage of these days. The trees are starting to change their colours even as the leaves collect on the garden floor. Mia really knows how to relax under the warmth of the sun. Izzy blends into the landscape. Everyone is happy and sad that there is no rain. The grass is very sad indeed. Little Dusty needed some jabs at the doctor's place so she happily went into the car. Then realized where she was going. She was a perfect little angel at the doctor's and everyone loved and fussed over her. It's nice to have such lazy days. Ciao for now my friends...  

It does not feel like Fall again and we asked Mum if she could uncover the pool and put the steps back in but she said "no". So we relaxed in the sun because we could not go back to summer. We played inside a bit too. And before long, it was time to snuggle together again. We love  the snuggle time when it gets dark early. ut But Mum loves it more. Ciao for now my friends...  

Dusty was still a tiny puppy when Fall happened last year. She missed some of the best parts but Carnaby- ever so helpful, clued her in on the glories of bananas . Now that the summer fruits are gone. I  got a special chewing bone from Mum and everyone came to ask if they could have some too.  Dusty does not remember the brilliance of the autumn sun. She is learning about the deep snuggles in the longer colder nights. She has great teachers. We do not the dark cold mornings. It signals a time of rest and calm. I like the fact that every season brings a new time to gather ourselves. Ciao for now my friends...

These are in between days. The mornings are darker longer and the days are shorter longer and the  chill is felt in the morning air but the days still feel like summer. Some flowers are holding on in this in between time of the season Even as the leaves are letting go off their branches. Our coats are getting thicker. And we wait for cozy nights by the fire. But for now we will wait and watch and chase the squirrels who gather nuts in our garden. And enjoy these Autumn days as we slow down the pace of our lives. We  really do enjoy the in between times of each season. I think we should all enjoy these times. Ciao for now my friends...  

We have been lucky with the weather here although there has been very little rain and all the plants are dying, there are other places that Mum says have lots of rain and too much rain and wind. We are lucky too that we have a family that loves each other- most times and takes care of each other sometimes too. Mum and Dad always takes care of us! Izzy lets the puppies share her chewing bones all the time. Dusty learns to share from her. And she makes a wonderful pillow too. I love the lumpy crate bedding the most. And raven's itchy skin gets better by the day. Dusty and Dad nap together on the sofa and we all know that we are safe. Ciao for now my friends...
