DESERT DAYS
The winds are blowing through the clear blue skies and the leaves dance and swirl over the brown dried earth.
The trees outside are reluctant to let go their shriveled leaves because it is warm and then cold and then warm yet again.
We would really like the rain right now. It has not rained in months and months.
We snuggle down where the fire usually burns but the weather is too warm for a fire right now.
We still wait for our chewing bones.
And Mum always delivers.
Mia always finishes first.
And Raven loves to share secrets with Mum.
I am okay with these desert days but I know Mum is worried about the fires nearby.
We all gather to comfort Mum in the windy sunshine of the morning.
It is so dusty outside that Mia almost looks like a chocolate labrador.
Ciao for now my friends...
