THE LEAVES HAVE LEFT


The leaves have left  the trees for the season- well at least most of them have. And the grass is starting to green again finally- in time for winter.
These ending days of the year are short but sweet as we find the spots with sun and warmth.
And our favurite time of snuggling by the fire with Mum and Dad.
Is pure heaven.

And even though it is frosty out, We all want to be outside as soon as light breaks through.
As soon as light breaks through!
Mia has taken to asking for her kongs again.
And in the frost of the morning  light, we have our chewing bones.

The rains are unending these days and the towels on the floor catching leaks from the skylights and catching muddy wet puppy paws are unending too. Father gives us treats and dries us off but there is not much else to do in these dreary days. I try to keep Dusty calm and happy but we are all wet and sad for the weather. MARGOT'S BIRTHDAY SURPRISE

It seemed like any other chilly morning with the sun shining bright but then in came little Margot and her mother -Auntie Julie. It was Margot's first birthday and she wanted to spend it with us. But first she had to run all around the back garden to explore because it was quite some time since her last visit. She had her birthday bandana around her neck and a smile from ear to ear as she greeted each one of us. We  chatted with Auntie too. Inside, in the warmth of the kitchen, we gathered around to see Margot get her gift. We all wanted to see the card as well because it was Mum who wrote in it. Margot took one of her presents and ran all over the house. Mia inspected the toy after Auntie took the tags away, We all took part in the play.
