THE WORK DAY

It was a very hot day with the sun blaring down and it was a day we were all outside together. Dad was working on the trees and clearing the garden beds and Mum replanted the strawberries   in the patch.
We lounged in the sunshine ad watched them work.
Dad had a hard time trying to cut the trees beyond the fence.
We were supervising the whole time.
And as the day was ending, the chickens came out  to eat all the ticks so it was a happy day for everyone.
We watched the chickens happily munching on every bug they could find.
Then waited patiently for dinner.
Then it was snuggle time.
A great end to a very long day.

MARGOT'S BIRTHDAY SURPRISE

It seemed like any other chilly morning with the sun shining bright but then in came little Margot and her mother -Auntie Julie. It was Margot's first birthday and she wanted to spend it with us. But first she had to run all around the back garden to explore because it was quite some time since her last visit. She had her birthday bandana around her neck and a smile from ear to ear as she greeted each one of us. We  chatted with Auntie too. Inside, in the warmth of the kitchen, we gathered around to see Margot get her gift. We all wanted to see the card as well because it was Mum who wrote in it. MAMA MIA'S PUPPIES POOL DAY REUNION

Dusty was a bit sad in the morning because Mum said  the puppies were coming and that most of us had to stay inside.  Izzy the swim instructor and super Aunt was allowed into the pool. Vikki and brother Cody were first to arrive with their families and then Lillibet came to join in the fun! Three of Mia's second litter all in one place! They did not miss a beat! Cody learned to swim here last year but he was hesitant with the new deck and steps. His Dad said that Cody did not like the water but he saw everyone else in the pool having fun! Everyone cheered when Cody got  up the courage to swim- then dive into the pool! His Daddy was there to help him navigate the steps but in no time he was a pro! Lillibet and Vikki cheered him on as well. Mum was so happy to have them back together. I think Lillibet was confused that she was back in her old pool. TIRED PUPPIES NEED REST

There are days like these where you just need to rest. No questions asked and no worries cared. Just rest. We are lucky pups because we get to rest insde the cool house. But Mum makes us go outside from time to time for exercise and potty breaks and of course, chewing bones. Mum tends her garden when we are outside so she knows we are not too hot. The tomatoes are coming in now and we are already eating most of her green beans! It is good to have a day of rest every once in a while. Ciao for now my friends...
