THE CUTTING DAY




It's always a pleasure when we can sleep in a bit on cooler days. Of course now that the summer is officially over, Mum and Dad are readying the gardens for the long winter naps.
We have our last romps in the back garden before they get to work cutting and  raking and organizing all the gardens. Mum calls it the cutting days.



 We don't mind because it means Spring will come back again.

Inside, Dusty loves to snuggle up with her Mama Mia.
And laugh with each other.

We really don't mind the end of summer. It just means we will have a new chance again soon.

ROCKSTAR DUSTY'S TRIUMPHANT RETURN!

  It started a couple of weeks ago when Mum and Dad took Dusty to meet Auntie Nadine at a rest stop. Dusty never looked back and we all wished  her happiness. Her first show with Auntie was in Maryland- far away from us. She got a special ribbon like I did and Izzy and Raven too!  WE were all very happy about that! But on the second show that weekend- Dusty did better then any of us here! She won her class then won best girl! Then won best of Winners. THEN Won best of Breed! We were all over the moon happy for her!   Even her picture makes her look like a rock star! We were all so excited that we wanted to scream with joy! They all went in the RV again to Delaware for more shows and she won again! And again- Four points in total! Mum and Dad left very early in the morning and drove for a few hours to be able to watch Dusty in the ring and bring her home. When she saw Mum- she got so excited that she jumped all around! MARGOT'S BIRTHDAY SURPRISE

It seemed like any other chilly morning with the sun shining bright but then in came little Margot and her mother -Auntie Julie. It was Margot's first birthday and she wanted to spend it with us. But first she had to run all around the back garden to explore because it was quite some time since her last visit. She had her birthday bandana around her neck and a smile from ear to ear as she greeted each one of us. We  chatted with Auntie too. Inside, in the warmth of the kitchen, we gathered around to see Margot get her gift. We all wanted to see the card as well because it was Mum who wrote in it. Margot took one of her presents and ran all over the house. Mia inspected the toy after Auntie took the tags away, We all took part in the play. But then- the two besties: Margot and Dusty went on an adventure together. ROCKSTAR DUSTY'S SECOND BIRTHDAY BASH!

It was a lovely day here at Wombleshyre. Our beautiful Stardust is now two years old and though she is still our baby, she is also ion her way up in the world. Gifts awaited us and of curse, chicken. Dusty knew exactly what was going on. WE all did. We were all very patiently  waiting. Very patiently. Then after our chicken and kibble, we waitied for Dad to get all the gifts and treats to us.
