DREAMS OF SPRING

The house seems so empty without our Dusty here. Mum makes sure we have plenty to do during the day besides naps.
We are so thankful that Mum gets to spend so much more time with us these days.
And the chewing bones help a lot.

But to be honest, we love to nap.

Especially  in the winter months
It's a tough job to wait for Springtime weather.

nd even more to wait for swimming weather.


So for now, we will help Dad  feed the chickens in hopes they will start laying eggs again.
In the meantime, we will dream of Spring.

The rains are unending these days and the towels on the floor catching leaks from the skylights and catching muddy wet puppy paws are unending too. Father gives us treats and dries us off but there is not much else to do in these dreary days. I try to keep Dusty calm and happy but we are all wet and sad for the weather. MARGOT'S BIRTHDAY SURPRISE

It seemed like any other chilly morning with the sun shining bright but then in came little Margot and her mother -Auntie Julie. It was Margot's first birthday and she wanted to spend it with us. But first she had to run all around the back garden to explore because it was quite some time since her last visit. She had her birthday bandana around her neck and a smile from ear to ear as she greeted each one of us. We  chatted with Auntie too. Inside, in the warmth of the kitchen, we gathered around to see Margot get her gift. We all wanted to see the card as well because it was Mum who wrote in it.
